1) Paper SAT (SAT I)
흔히 SAT I(Reasoning Test)로 불리는 시험으로 Reading, Writing, Math Test로 구성됩니다. SAT 문제 유출에 대한 문제점으로 인해 국내는 2022년까지 시행되었으며, 미국에서는 2023년까지 시행될 예정으로 이후 Digital SAT로 대체될 예정입니다.
SAT II(Subject test)는 SAT 출제기관인 칼리지보드에서 SAT II 대신 AP(Advanced Placement) 시험을 강화하기 위한 목적으로 2021년부터 폐지되었습니다.

2) Digital SAT
2023년 3월부터 SAT International 시험은 전면 디지털로 진행됩니다. Digital SAT는 응시시간이 2시간으로 줄었고, Reading 영역에서 5 Passages 포맷 대신 문제마다 짧은 본문이 있는 형태로 바뀌었습니다. 또한 Reading과 Writing이 통합되어 시험이 Math와 함께 크게 두 부분으로 나뉩니다.
기존의 Paper SAT 문제에 비해 더 유연하고 편리한 방식으로 제공되는만큼, 학생들은 필요에 따라 선호하는 디바이스로 SAT에 응시하고 시험결과를 빠르게 받아볼 수 있게 되었습니다.
